New Moon in Gemini

As I have discussed in previous blogs, the New Moon is a time for new beginnings and a time for us to plant the seeds that will help us achieve our goals in the upcoming weeks. Instead of focusing on what we want to release, like we did at the last Full Moon, we want to focus on what we want to attract into our lives. Whether it is people, thought, behaviors, money, a new car or whatever it is that you want to manifest, the intention you set tonight will help be a catalyst for growth and change.

The areas we will want to focus on this current cycle will be those surrounding the following categories:

Communication-

How are you communicating with people that are closest to you? Are you being open and honest in your communication of your wants and needs? Do you feel like you have not been heard by your partner or other loved ones? It's a good time ti may revisit some conversations from a different starting point for conversation. Are you listening to understand or just listening to respond? It the communication 2-ways, or like talking to a brick wall? Time to take an honest look.

Socialization-

Are you making it a point to socialize regularly? Are you uncomfortable with small talk and other lighthearted gab? If so this is the perfect time to work on your inner personal relationships. You do not need to be so reserved. You are loved and accepted, wholly.

Siblings-

Gemini has a duality that can make things complicated if not navigated through an open mind. If you have been estranged from siblings, neighbors, or close friends, now is the time to put the past aside and work on ways to make good changes for the future. The conversations may be tough, but the reward will be so worth it.

Reading-

How much of your free time do you engage in letting your mind and imagination wander and get lost in a good book? As important as it is for our brains to keep learning and working to solve problems, it is also beneficial to allow your brain to go into some sort of autopilot-like state of rest. Reading books is a wonderful way to release all the nagging thoughts and let your mind focus on something easier to process, from time to time. It can be almost like a meditation. Which leads me to our last focus topic of this moon cycle.

Meditation-

Anxiety is common is a HUGE percent of our population; especially in women. It is so easy to get caught up obsessing over all the chores, bills, kids, house, car, insurance, etc we have to worry about on the daily. It is EXTREMELY important to allow your mind to rest as well as your body. Meditation helps relax our brain and allows us to get into a restorative state more easily. Start with just 5 minutes a day and gradually work your way up to 15-30 minutes a day. You will noticed a huge change overall in your mental state and overall well-being just after a few days of regular meditation.

Moon Rituals are wonderfully helping when it comes to checking in regularly with your highest self. Here a some examples of ones I alternate from time to time. You can always come up with your own moon rituals, or I would be more than happy to help you personalize one so that it may have as specific of an intention as you need.
